Den biospykososiale modellen er – for mange - så sammenflettet med fysioterapeuters forståelse av pasienten at den fort kan brukes ukritisk. Som vi tidligere har snakket om i podcasten ønsker vi å sette fokus på hva som er fundamentet i fysioterapeuters profesjon – både styrker og svakheter. Således kan ordene til den berømte filosofen og psykiateren Karl Jaspers fungere som fyrlykten i denne episodens kritiske vurdering av den biopsykososiale modellen: “We need to be aware of what methods we use, their strengths and their limitations, and why we use them”.
